1999 marks the 20th year of operations for Wheatland Bins. Wheatland has two manufacturing facilities, one located in Lethbridge, Alberta and the other in Camrose, Alberta. Wheatland Bins builds all-welded storage bins for the agricultural market but also for industrial users such as fertilizer blending facilities, flour mills and blasting companies. It sells its products primarily in Western Canada and the Northwestern United States.
Wheatland Bins's affiliated company, Meridian Industries, was founded in 1964 in Morris, Manitoba and was the first to design and build an all welded, smooth walled hopper bottom bin. Wheatland Bins was then established in Lethbridge, Alberta in 1979 to meet the market demand for this unique storage tank in Western North America. In 1986 Wheatland Bins set up a branch office and manufacturing plant in Camrose, Alberta to increase its production capabilities and at the same time, introduced a new 16' diameter bin. In early 1997 Wheatland Bins completed building a new manufacturing plant and office in Camrose, Alberta and production commenced there in February 1997.
