Roofing Solutions

The step by step PUF solution with an example project

Impervious to normal roofing failures

forming a seamless, lightweight barrier that bonds 100 %
to the substrate

Compare our roofing system to conventional systems

The coating forms a monolithic membrane, which bonds 100% without mechanical fasteners

Impervious to water
transmission and a impermeable   elastomer coating

The (PUF) system offers a double
layer of seamless protection.

The Versatility of the PUF roofing system is phenomenal

adapts easily to a wide variety of roof styles such as flat, pitched, fluted, and modern domed or geometric shaped roofing.

The Extra Benefits of the PUF roofing system

Tests have proven its ability to save up to 40% on cooling costs

Recorded Test Results

Dover Hotel Building

Roofing Project (Edmonton Alberta, Canada)
Project Retrofit to existing asphalt and gravel roofing system
Procedure
Pressure washed to remove gravel, repaired failed sections with conventional materials, coated with spray elastomer membrane (50 mils thickness), top coated with spray-applied Ceramic Insulation Coatings.
Environment (Climatic conditions: partially cloudy, 20oC., ambient.)
Surface
Temperatures
54oC. Existing Roof System (no insulation)
41oC. Treated Roof System (insulated)
Measurements
276 btuH energy transfer per sq.ft. Existing Roof System (no insulation)
167 btuH energy transfer per sq.ft. Treated Roof System (insulated)
Net Result 109 btuH per sq.ft. of energy transfer
Total Net Result: 436,000 btuH (entire treated surface)

Gallery 51 Building

Plexiglass Skylights (Edmonton Alberta, Canada)
Project Repairing roof top skylights: failure due to thermal shock; five-foot panels moved up to 0.75 inches.
Procedure
Spray applied coatings, installed directly to Plexiglas panels; eliminated up to 95% of thermal shock. System shows no sign of movement or failure.
Environment (Climatic conditions: clear skies. 24oC ambient)
Surface Temperatures 42.5oC Uncoated Plexiglass
29.3oC. Coated Plexiglass
Measurements 252 btuH energy transfer per sq.ft. Uncoated Plexiglass
143 btuH energy transfer per sq.ft. Ceramic Coated Plexiglass
Net Result 109 btuH per sq.ft. of energy transfer
Total Net Result: 763,000 btuH (7000 sq.ft. surface)

Ipsco Pipe Manufacturing Building

Metal Roofing Retrofit (Red Deer, Alberta, Canada)
Project Waterproof treatment of 38,000 sq.ft. metal roof system
Procedure
Ceramic Insulation Coatings were applied to all vertical and horizontal seams, fasteners, and roof paenetrations (20 mil thickness). Thermal shock due to expansion and contraction was eliminated
Environment (Climatic conditions: clear skies. 24oC., ambient direct sunlight)
Surface Temperatures 32.5 o C Untreated Metal Roof (2" foam insulation underside)
22.5o C Ceramic Coating Treatment
Measurements 149 btuH energy transfer per sq.ft. Untreated Metal Roof
134 btuH energy transfer per sq.ft. Ceramic Coated
Net Result 15 btuH per sq.ft. of energy transfer
Total Net Result: 570,000 btuH (entire treated surface)
